Designing with Colorwork Friday May 4,2018…

Description:
Learn the basics of designing your own colorwork motifs and using them in your knitting. This class covers color theory, yarn choice and the “rules” of colorwork and when they can be broken. Participants will practice creating their own charted motifs and knit a swatch of their design. This class is best for knitters who are comfortable with colorwork.

Materials:
At least 2 colors of wool yarn for knitting a sample of your motif, circular needles of the appropriate size for the yarn (24” cable or longer), scissors

Custom Cowl Design Saturday May 5,2018…..

Description:
Create your own, custom designed cowl using a selection of motifs provided. Combine them in your own unique way using your leftovers and scraps from other projects- a great stash buster!

Materials:
A selection of yarns to combine in one project, any weight is fine, but whatever you bring should be of the same weight. Wool or wool blend yarn is preferred.
Needles suitable for the yarn weight you’ve brought.
